Summer Time!

I cannot believe that summer is almost over! However, I have had a very busy, fulfilling summer, and unlike the past two summers, I have yet to be bored! Matt and I went camping with my parents to a place in Arizona called the White Mountains. We used to go camping there every summer until the year I started high school and amazingly, it looked exactly as I remembered it. We used our new tent, but used our old air mattress. The air mattress that fit perfectly in our old tent, but barely covered half the ground of our new tent. Going from sleeping in a king sized bed to a full air mattress, was horrible. Matt and I apparently thought that since we were camping in Arizona it would be scorching hot...we were very wrong. Thank goodness my parents were there or we would have frozen to death...I think it was 32 degrees one night, and we thought my old high school comforter and our picnic blanket would be enough to keep us warm...in our tent...wrong. Lets just say that the next time we go camping, we will have a new air mattress and we will have plenty to keep us warm!





Our 16 day trip to North Carolina, Florida, and our cruise was fun, but 16 days was way too long to be away from home..more on that later!


Today I was reminded how wonderful friends are. I hadn't seen my good friend Chrissy in about three weeks...or more, and I hadn't realized how much goes on in ones life in that much time. We met at Flying star at noon, I had looked down at my phone at about 1:30 and then again at 4! We sat there for four hours just talking..gossiping of course..and having a wonderful time. I love all of my friends dearly, and although I may not always have four hours to spend chatting, I hope you know how much I truly appreciate all of you!
