Halfway there....20 weeks down, 20 weeks to go!

20 weeks...only 140 days to go! 140 days seems like an eternity but I am sure that these 140 days are going to fly by! Week 19 was much better! Besides being tired, I almost made it the entire week without getting sick! Now if only I could can this cough. I am definitely getting bigger and my lack of motivation to get dressed in the morning is playing a toll on me. I wish that I could just wear sweats to school but I am thankful that I can wear jeans...I just need more maternity jeans and I think my morning routine will be much easier.

Baby G (we have exchanged baby name lists and are now in the process of choosing the perfect name...easier said right!) has become a lot more active...especially right before I want to go to sleep. It is a surreal experience and I am so glad that Matt surely felt Baby G give one of his better kicks! He can be compared to a cantaloupe this week which is so hard to wrap my head around. Aren't cantaloupes huge??? Well I guess not huge, but a pretty big fruit to compare a baby to???

From my hours of research and book reading, I have learned that baby G has as much sleep and awake time as a newborn and his scalp hair is beginning to grow. Baby g is also gulping down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, his taste buds actually work! This week Baby G could be weighing in at 10.6 ounces and measuring 6.5 inches (crown to rump). At our next ultrasound he will actually be measured from head to toe and not head to rump! Apparently my belly button is going to start becoming tender as it makes its way out to an outtie...Yippie. Below are my week 20 pictures!

Aside from baby news, I would like to wish my grandma a very happy 86th birthday! Below is a picture of her blowing out her "candle". She couldn't find any birthday candles at her house, but she did find a decorative candle, so that is what we used! Happy Birthday Gar. Winnie!!!
