23 Weeks and a few days!

I cannot believe it is already November! Time needs to slow down just a bit. It is going to be February before we know it!

At 23 weeks I feel like I have doubled in size. My once loose fitting t-shirts now do not cover my belly and I could seriously live in leggings. My back feels like it constantly needs to be popped...prenatal massage here I come!!! My ring that once twirled around my finger is now getting a bit tight and I take it off frequently... I am hopping the hubby will buy me a "replacement" for the time being! Nothing fancy, just something that shows I am taken...not like being pregnant doesn't show that to some extent! The upside to being "bigger" is the amount of help complete strangers, and my students give me. Just today an older lady at the grocery store did not want me loading the groceries into my cart! My students fly out of their seats anytime I drop something (which is frequently) and hold doors for me and carry things for me...all without me asking!

AT 23 weeks Carter weighs 1 lb 5 ounces! I know this is exact because we had an appointment last week! He is measuring at the 64th percentile which is great considering the news we received. Turns out that Carter has one artery and one vein from the placenta to the umbilical cord while "normal" babies have two. This news freaked me out but the doc reassured us that as long as all of Carter's other organs are working properly he will be fine, if they don't work properly then he could have fetal growth development issues. All of Carter's organs are in perfect condition so doctor just requested more ultrasounds which is ok with us! Carter's little face is fully formed...minus the baby fat, of course. The next task at hand for him: sprouting two teeny-tiny nipples!!!

My brother Justin came in town this weekend! He surprised me! We haven't seen him since he left for college mid August. Boy was he surprised by my belly. I believe his exact words were "Whoa you went from like 180 to 245". I responded with a smack to his gut and "I don't even weigh 180 yet"...I think I used some other choice words though! It was an awesome visit and Justin even felt Carter kick!

Enjoy my belly pics! I also added a picture of the Halloween Parade at my school and the newest addition to the nursery!
