I think Carter can come out now!

Well I am 39 weeks and 5 days... at our last appointment (on Tuesday) I was dilated to 3 cm and 90% effaced.... I think Carter should come out NOW! Matt and I have been walking walking walking and when we went to the doctor she said I lost 13 lbs...ha ha ha ha yeah right! I am trying to stay patient, but with all of the emotions running through my body it is hard. My doctor said I could go in to the hospital tomorrow and if I am having somewhat consistent contractions and my back still aches that she will possibly induce. However, she said if I go in too early their is risk of a c-section or a very long labor...both of which I do not want. So my plan is to stay home (my principal told me to start my maternity leave two days early which is fine by me), relax, and let nature do its thing! If by chance I do not have Carter by this weekend, we have an appointment on Monday, the 28th, to check the progress and make decisions. My doctor told me that she will not let me carry Carter past 41 weeks.

So, the waiting continues....
